This web site seeks to educate people about various alternatives and theories about God.  We believe that understanding the various articles posted here will help end the "God Confusion", which will not happen if you only are aware of what comes out of "The Church" and the teachings of the major religions. 

We agree with Albert Einstein, who often wrote at length about "The Old One".  To him, there were 2 types of gods.  The 1st god was the personal god, the god who answered prayers, the god of Abraham, Isaac and Moses, the god that parts the waters and performs miracles. 

Einstein's other type was Spinoza's God, who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a god who concerns himself with fates and actions of human beings.  Einstein wrote, "I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation".

God is, but he is not the god of the Old Testament books revered by Christians, Muslims and Jews.  End your confusion about God by reviewing the articles presented here.  We explain where the personal god who answers prayers comes from, and point you in the direction of learning more for yourself about the true God, the Creator of the Universe.  The true God is not "revealed" to you by an intermediary - minister, priest, rabbi, iman, etc.  Recent science has revealed new information about God and the origin of man.  Other science continues to learn the secrets of what makes up the universe and how it all ties together.  Corrected and revised translations of ancient books pre-dating Genesis and the Bible, illuminate answers to age old questions.  It actually all makes sense.

A very interesting book.  Definitely recommended.  Cresswell explains how the actual Gospels themselves, when looked at in a historical perspective that he explains, actually paints a very different picture of Jesus than what ended up being presented by "the church".  He explains how Saul, the self-appointed apostle Paul, created Christianity to appease the Roman powers - and advance his own status.  Cresswell also explains the Jewish general and historian Josephus's role of omission in history, by appeasing the Romans (who had captured him and slated him for death), while at the same time protecting Jews by leaving their names out of his histrory or, minimally, changing their names.  His cross-referencing of historian accounts and the Gospels, paint a compelling picture.

It is rare when one can find a new book about Deism.  That is one of the main reasons why Antony Flew's October, 2007 book - There Is a God is so important.  The other reason is that Flew has been an important spokesperson for atheism for some time now.  His new book describes his journey from Atheist to Deist.  So, this book is important to both those who consider themselves Deists and those who consider themselves Atheists.  Please click on the link below to obtain your copy of There Is a God.

A new article, Deism and USA Founding Fathers has been added on the left of this Home Page.  The article looks at several of the people most influential in forming the new country of the United States of America, and also explores their connection to the Deism religious philosophy. 

I have erred by not producing the Bible Mis-translations page before now.  I believe that after you read that page, listed alphabetically to the left, other articles on this web site will make more sense to you. 

Why is this important?  With the discovery of the Nag Hamedi library, the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Qumran scrolls, Babylonian King Ashurbanipal's library at Ninevah, and the Sumerian tablets from which Genesis was derived, blind faith in religion is no longer a viable option.  We now have many of the original documents and facts. We have access to many of the source documents before editing for political or ideological reasons, mis-translations, whether accidental or on purpose, and interpretations by individuals who say that they have to interpret religious truths for you.

As Paul Von Ward states in Gods, Genes and Consciousness, "either we take full account of the evidence at hand, or we ignore it to follow the old courses regardless.  What we now have are alternative accounts - options on which to base considered judgement.  Dogma is an obligatory system of acceptance, but it cannot function in an environment of free will and choice."

I sincerely hope that you review this and other articles, open your mind to new considerations, and make up your own mind considering your religion for your future - and Mankind's future.

This week's Sunday paper identified 16 hopefuls, 8 Democrats and 8 Republicans, for their political party's endorsement for the next US presidential election.  For the last several presidential elections, some religious leaders have digressed to contentious political rhetoric.  One wonders what role religion will play in the next primary and general elections.
